The Allyance offers the best coaching program for tech professionals

📌 Since The Allyance started, the goal has been clear :

“We help both companies and candidates : companies wanting to reach excellence in hiring and candidates wanting to find the perfect companies. We work with people allergic to diversity washing and truly embracing differences.”

This article is aimed at the candidates who want to know more about our coaching offer. We want to be as transparent as possible about the way we do things and how much it will cost you. A true open-source spirit!

This article is an updated version of the one we wrote in 2020. It had aged well but we have added more expertise to our skillset since then and wanted to let you know!

🔗 Why do candidates need us?

More than ever, candidates and companies need a high-quality connecting platform to find the needed skills or the perfect job: The Allyance.

🎯 Our goal is to empower candidates as much as possible to deal with applications and personal introspection in a serene way.

⚙️ Linkedin and job offers do not enable companies to hire right and fast enough. Candidates apply or interview without getting feedback. On the other hand, The Allyance helps candidates understand how recruiters and managers think. We become your career partner.

🏆 We are a team of experienced coaches

The Allyance team is professionally trained. Caroline and Morgane followed the WILL Academy to sharpen their skills when it comes to coaching.

The program lasted 3 months and today still, they use what they were taught when it comes to active listening, spotting patterns or issues and identifying solutions.

Morgane believes she is Ted Lasso while Caroline compares herself to Andrea Martel in the TV show Call My Agent.

Both of them are experienced recruitment professionals and they adapt to all the situations the candidates face. They are bilingual and they know the tech job markets in Europe, Asia and the US.

For the last 3 years, The Allyance coached more than 100 people. The topics on which candidates needed help are different. Here are some examples :

🔹 Looking for a new role

We prepare our candidates to interview by doing interview simulations, we connect them with companies, we guide them through their recruitment process and we help them negotiate their salary!

🔹Preparing a salary negotiation

The Allyance got me a 13% raise.

We support candidates who want to make sure they keep a positive relationship with their manager after a performance review. We help them get a raise by stating objective arguments.

🔹 Preparing for an interview process

We support candidates when they interview at companies such as Google, Netflix or Pandora. We know how demanding they are and we make sure our candidates are ready, confident and performing!

🔹 Starting a C-level or management role

Starting a new role is never easy! We support senior candidates who are joining an executive committee for the first time or getting their first management role. We want to make sure they succeed.

🔹 Coming back to work after a sick leave or a pregnancy

Going back to the office after a long break can be stressful and bring anxiety. We support people who want to make sure they get back on track with confidence and care.

🔹 Resume Review

Create 3 CVs for different target roles, rearrange past contracts via my own company under one heading to make it easy to understand.”

“Make sure there is consistency between what I put on Linkedin, my resume & portfolio page, highlight my talk everywhere to show I share with my peers.”

🔹 Prepare interviews

“It was very insightful to have the point of view of Caroline on how I should deal with the interview process. I'm thankful for her guidance. She gave me confidence and motivation.

“Do coding games 3 times a week, make a list about what I want for my future job and make a list of companies which seem to suit me.”

“I like the fact it was very hands-on. I was given a true confidence boost and got explained in more details how some recruiters work.”

🔹 Personal branding

“I will definitely build a portfolio on Github to showcase my Front-End skills in addition to my personal website to convince future employers.”

“I understood how important being visible online is! I decided to start : 1) Attending local meetups 2) Joining Slack and Facebook Machine Learning groups 3) Diving into the job offers we listed together.”

🔹 Career management

“I was asked to make my career goals clearer in order to better convince recruiters and managers IRL. Caroline made an interview simulation and I loved it!”

“It was great to share my career plan and doubts and get feedback from someone who knows the AI industry.

🤔 Are you convinced?

💛 One question remains : is The Allyance team nice?To answer this question, here is what mentees thought :

“Caroline is a joy to work with!”

Morgane helped me evaluate my worth and taught me to be more assertive when asking and negotiating my salary.

“I was pleasantly surprised by this session, by its approach. Caroline has an excellent vision of the market, a 360-degree vision, all sectors combined. She masters contemporary issues and challenges. She is open-minded, cultivated, and above all very insightful. Finally, her recommendations made sense, especially in terms of networking.”

“I really liked that it was over the phone, allowing more flexibility. I also enjoyed Caroline’s sincerity, allowing me to ask questions and speak about topics I would never share with a recruiter or colleague.”

🤔 Still not convinced?
